Our Beginning: A Mission Born With Purpose
More than a decade ago, a group of like-minded individuals realized something…. The majority of Pakistan’s youth, particularly in the middle and lower-income segments, lose their direction after high school and have no guidance or counselling about their future careers. They also recognized a growing requirement for skilled manpower across multiple sectors in Pakistan’s fast-developing economy. There was a clear need for a world-class skill development platform that equips our youth with employable capabilities. This is how ‘The Hunar Foundation (THF)’ came into being in 2008.

The Youth of Pakistan — Our Greatest Untapped Strength

Pakistan is home to 150 million young people — one of the largest youth populations in the world. But millions of them, especially those from underserved communities, are high-school dropouts or moderately educated with no clear path to a stable future.

  • This is not a failure of ability.
  • It is simply a shortage of opportunity.

These young men and women deserve a second chance — a chance to rise, earn with dignity, and build a life they can be proud of.
