Program Objectives

  1. Develop job-ready technical skills in core layout composition, design thinking, and high-quality print execution.
  2. Equip trainees with comprehensive, action-oriented capabilities to resolve real-world graphic production tasks dynamically.
  3. Ensure complete mastery over industry-standard vector, raster, and multi-page layout publication tools.
  4. Enable candidates to establish standard workflows spanning from raw design conceptualization to exact pre-press print verification.

Trainees will be fully proficient in designing, standardizing, and organizing professional print collateral, including:

  • Flyers, Multipage Brochures & Corporate Magazines.

  • Advanced Digital Illustration & Photo Editing Layouts.

Program Structure

The Computer Graphics - Print (Level 3) spans 800 Hours (6 Months / Full-Time), combining on-campus instruction with intensive printing lab and practical workshop practice across 8 modules.

Introduction

This 6 month full-time training equips trainees with contemporary terminologies, process, issues, and print execution trends across 8 curriculum modules.

Familiarisation with Terminologies & Tools (200 Hours)

Principles of Design (Balance, Contrast, Repetition, Harmony, Dominance, Unity); Color Theory (Hue, Chroma, Saturation, Warm & Cool Spectrum); Understanding Perspective & Illusion of Depth; Core Typography Anatomy & Layout rules.

Develop Design Concepts (80 Hours)

Identifying Unique Selling Point (USP) of products/services; Defining strict Branding Guidelines and Corporate Themes; Visualizing layouts via thumbnail sketching; Asset sourcing and layout grid composition.

Analyse Cost Effective Solution (80 Hours)

Determining standard publication sizes (A4-A1, Letter, Legal, Tabloid); Evaluation of custom paper dimensions without affecting resolution; Knowledge of Offset printing processes & heavy press machines (Rota etc.); Material economy optimization for client budgeting.

Editing of Photos & Development of Graphics (180 Hours)

Advanced photo modification, cropping, and color adjustments; Image compositing, masking, and high-impact matte effects; Digital graphic creation for commercial advertising templates.

Prepare Pre-Press Job (60 Hours)

Arranging, marking up, and assembling master templates for printers; Plate making prep and advanced color separations (CMYK configurations); Formatting final production-ready artwork files.

Perform Software / Hardware Maintenance (65 Hours)

Basic diagnostic operations of high-performance design workstations; Graphic software updates, configuration backups, and asset management; Storage security protocols and hardware optimization routines.

Communicate with Others (60 Hours)

Interactive communication strategies for design agencies; Collecting detailed design specifications from corporate clients; Advanced team dynamics and collaborative design reviews.

Duties & Rights at the Workplace (60 Hours)

Occupational Health and Environmental Safety (OH&ES) guidelines; Life cycle methodologies (Requirement, Prototype, Validation); Understanding global Copyrights and Intellectual Property Acts.
